Uleiurile curative au fost folosite in frumusete de mii de ani. Grecii antici erau cei mai cunoscuti a fi ce mai buni la folosirea uleiului de masline presat proaspat pentru curatare (aplicand uleiul pe piele si apoi frecand porii) si hidratare, lasand complexitatea lor curata, supla si stralucitoare.
Cum iti dai seama daca uleiul e bun pentru pielea ta?

How do you know if the oil is good for your skin?
When applied to the skin, the oil should absorb completely. If it just sits on top of your skin, looks patchy, doesn’t sink in very well, or makes your face look even shinier than before, then it’s not the right oil for you.
If your skin feels “right” and looks supple, dewy, rested, not overly shiny, and the oil absorbs well, then you’re on the right track!

Piele normala
Pielea normala deobicei nu are probleme cu care sa te preocupi si prin urmare exista o gama larga de uleiuri de unde sa alegi. Muscata, iasomie, lemn de cedru, soia, lavanda, migdale, ciubotica-cucului, de portocale, luminita de seara, neroli, Chamo roman, lemn de trandafir, arbore de ceai, si ylang-ylang sunt cele mai bune uleiuri
pentru tipul de ten normal. Foloseste curatarea profunda cu metoda uleiului pentru a curata porii si a da o stralucire sanatoasa.
Normal skin
Normal skin normally does not have any issues to deal with and hence there is a wide variety of oils to choose from too. Geranium, jasmine, cedarwood, soy, lavender, almond, primrose, orange, evening primrose, neroli, roman chamo, rosewood, tea tree, and ylang-ylang are the best oils
for normal skin type. Use the deep cleaning with oil method to clear pores and add a healthy glow.

Piele grasa

Alte uleiuri pentru tenul gras sunt muscata, lavanda, arbore de ceai, lavanda, lamaie, tamaie, ylang-ylang, menta, patchouli, chiparos, Melisa, trandafir, eucalipt, rozmarin, bergamot, mandarin rosu, ienupar, mirt si neroli.
Aceste uleiuri trebuiesc tinute in frigider pentru a le impiedica rancezirea.

Oily Skin
Oily skin is characterized by the overproduction of sebum, creating a greasy feel and shine to the skin. People with oily skin usually have acne prone and sensitive complexions.
The best oils to use for this skin type are oils that are light and contain a high amount of linoleic acid, a polyunsaturated fatty acid found in many light nourishing oils that can be used for oily skin types. Linoleic acid has been proven, when applied topically, to reduce clogged
pores by over 25% in just a few weeks when used daily.
Oils that contain the highest amounts of linoleic acid are:

• Safflower Oil- 74.62%
• Evening primrose oil- 73%
• Grapeseed Oil- 69.6%
• Sunflower Oil- 65.7%
• Hemp oil- 60%
• Wheat Germ Oil- 60%
• Apricot Kernel Oil- 50.3%
• Sesame Oil- 50%
• Rosehip Seed Oil- 45.5%
• Tamanu Oil- 38%

Other oils for oily skin type are geranium, tea tree, lavender, lemon, frankincense, Ylang-ylang, peppermint, patchouli, cypress, Melisa, rose, eucalyptus, rosemary, bergamot, red mandarine, juniper, myrtle and neroli.
Be sure to keep these oils in the fridge to prevent them from going rancid.

Piele uscata
Pielea uscata este stransa, iritata, cu mancarimi si cu cojite. Persoanele cu pielea uscata sunt deobicei predispuse la acnee datorita celulelor lipicioase ale pielii care infunda porii.
Cele mai bune uleiuri penttru pielea uscata sunt uleiurile care contin o cantitate mare de acid oleic, un acid gra monosaturat gasit in uleiuri gree, care se usuca mai greu. Aceste uleiuri sunt potrivite la pielea insetata si sunt absorbite mai usor ca pielea grasa.
Acidul oleic este cunoscut in reducerea inflamatiilor cand este folosit deobicei intern , deci asigura-te ca ai parte de grasimi de buna calitate in dieta ta. Uleioasa ,uscata sau predispusa la acnee pielea trebuie tratata din interior in aceeasi masura ca din exterior!
Uleiurile care contin cea mai mare cantitate de acid oleic sunt:
• Ulei de masline 55-85%, in functie de calitate (presat la rece este cel mai bun)
• Ulei de nuci de macadamia 85%
• Ulei de Avocado  75%
• Ulei de canola 57%
• Ulei de Neem 54%
• Ulei de alune  66%
• Ulei de migdale 68%
• Ulei de Argan  42,8
Alte uleiuri pentru piele uscata sunt: trandafir, musetel ulei, seminte de morcov, lemn de cedru, migdale, iasomie, salvie, muscata, de portocale, neroli, germeni de grau, ricin,trandafir de Palma si lemn de santal.

Dry Skin
Dry skin is characterized by tight, irritated, itchy, flaky skin. People with dry skin types are usually prone to acne due to “sticky” skin cells clogging pores.
The best oils to use for dry skin are oils that contain high amounts of oleic acid, a monosaturated fatty acid found in heavier, more slow drying oils. These oils are well suited for thirsty skin and are absorbed more readily than oily skin types.
Oleic acid is known to reduce inflammation when used topically and internally, so make sure to get good quality fats in your diet. Oily, dry, or acne prone skin needs to be treated from the inside as well as the outside!
Oils that contain the highest amounts of oleic acids are:
• Olive Oil- 55-85% depending on quality (cold pressed is best)
• Macadamia nut oil- 85%
• Avocado Oil- 75%
• Canola Oil- 57%
• Neem oil- 54%
• Hazelnut oil- 66%
• Almond Oil- 68%
• Argan oil- 42.8
Other oils for dry skin are: Rose, Chamomile oil, carrot seed, cedarwood, almond, jasmine, clary, geranium, orange, neroli, wheatgerm, castor, Palma rose and sandalwood.

Piele foarte uscata
Cateoadata chiar si aceste uleiuri nu o sa functioneze pentru toata lumea. Aici intervine uleiul de cocos si unturile din plante.
A fost o mare zarva despre uleiul de cocos daca face sau nu mai rau acnea, dar stiu ca hidrateaza pana si cea mai uscata piele. L-am folosit saptamani bune fara a-mi aparea cosuri dar din pacate toate lumea e diferita.
Untul de shea, de mango, de cacao, de kokum o sa-ti faca o piele super catifelata datorita marilor lor cantitati de acid palmitic, dar ai grija la posibili pori infundati!
Extremely Dry Skin
Sometimes even these oils won’t work out for everyone. This is where coconut oil and plant butters comes into play.
There’s been a lot of hype about whether or not coconut oil will actually make acne worse, but I do know that it will moisturize even the most dry of the dry skin types. I’’ve used it for weeks straight without any breakouts, but alas, everyone is different.
Shea butter, mango butter, cocoa butter, and kokum butter will give you super smooth skin due to their high amounts of palmitic acid, but watch out for possible clogged pores!

Piele mixta
Pielea mixta are zona T uleioasa deobicei si restul fetei este uscata. Uleiul excelent pentru acest tip de ten include: lavanda, muscata si palmarosa.
Am pus raportul procentual mai sus in asa fel incat sa poti alege uleiul care ti se potriveste cel mai bine. Acelea dintre voi cu tenul si gras si uscat ar trebui sa aleaga uleiuri care au raportul procentual mai aproape de 50 ca: uleiul de migdale, uleiul de argan, de sambure de caise, de susan sau de macese.
Aceste uleiuri sunt mai echilibrate pentru tipurile de piele mixta fara a fi prea departe de fiecare parte a spectrului.
Combination skin
Combination skin will have an oily T-zone usually and the rest of the area will be dry. The excellent oil for combination skin includes Lavender, geranium and palmarosa.
I put the percent ratios up there so that you can choose an oil that suits you best. Those of you with both dry and oily skin should choose oils that have a percent ratio closer to 50% such as almond oil, argan oil, apricot kernel oil, sesame oil, or rosehip oil. These oils are more balanced for combination skin types without being too far on either side of the spectrum.

Pielea sensibila
Pielea sensibila este, de obicei alergica la diverse produse prin urmare trebuie folosit un ulei gentil pe acest tip de piele. Uleiuri ca: uleiul de trandafir, musetel,lavanda sunt excelente in tratarea eczemeisi a pielii inflamate sau iritate.
Sensitive skin
Sensitive skin is usually allergic to various products hence gentle oil needs to be used on this skin type. Oils like rose, chamomile, lavender is excellent to treat eczema, inflamed or irritated skin.

Lavanda Essential Oil

Toate tipurile de piele
Alt ulei pe care vreau sa-l mentionez este desigur uleiul de jojoba. Chiar daca contine cantitati mici de acid oleic, este un ulei excelent pentru ca se aseamana cel mai mult cu uleiurile naturale ale pielii noastre.
Uleiul de jojoba reduce inflamatiile, sparge dopurile din porii infundati (in cateva saptamani), si reduce productia de sebum. Acest ulei este minunat pentru toate tipurile de piele si in special este benefic pentru pielea predispusa la acnee.
Iti recomand sa alegi un ulei si sa-l incerci cel putin 2 saptamani. Joaca-te cu cantitatile ca sa vezi care este cea potrivita pentru tine. Pentru unele persoane pot functiona cateva picaturi dintr–un anumit ulei, dar poate ca o sa ai nevoie de mai mult sau mai putin.
De asemenea poti amesteca uleiuriile pentru ati satisface nevoile (uleiul de jojoba functioneaza foarte bine pentru asta) si chiar cateva picaturi din uleiul tau esential preferat pentru beneficii in plus ca:
• Ulei de arbore de ceai – pentru piele predispusa la acnee si piele uscata
• Ulei de lamaie – pentru a lumina tonul pielii
• Ulei de trandafir – pentru piele grasa
• Ulei de musetel – pentru piele mixta

Semne de acnee: Uleiul de lavanda este perfect pentru a preveni cicatricile de pe urma acneei; poti sa-l amesteci cu o lotiune sau crema fara parfum. Fa un amestec anti cosuri acasa folosind uleiuri care curata acneea si cicatricile.
Piele imbatranita: Trandafir de tamaie si neroli sunt minunate pentru pielea cae imbatraneste. Adauga-le impreuna cu alte uleiuri pentru ati face acasa serum anti imbatranire.
Vergeturi: Ulei de mandarin, neroli pot fi amestecate cu niste ulei de germeni de grau si folosit pe vergeturi. Maseaza uleiul impreuna cu ulei de cocos sau de masline pe vergeturi pentru a imbunatati elasticitatea pielii si pentru a deschide natural culoarea lor.

All Skin Types

Another oil I want to mention is, of course, jojoba oil. Even though jojoba oil contains fairly low amounts of oleic and linoleic acids, it is amazing for the skin because it most closely resembles our natural skin oils.
Jojoba oil reduces inflammation, breaks up plugs in clogged pores (over a few weeks), and reduces the production of sebum. This oil is great for all skin types and especially beneficial for acne prone skin.
I recommend picking one oil and trying it out for at least 2 weeks. Play around with amounts to see what works best for you. A few drops may work for some people of a certain oil, but you may need more or less than that, so listen closely to what your skin is telling you. Pretty soon, you’ll have more balanced and comfortable feeling skin!
Also note that you can mix oils to meet your needs (jojoba oil works very well for this) and even add a few drops of your favorite essential oils for added benefits like:
• Tea Tree Oil- for acne prone and dry skin
• Lemon Oil- to brighten skin tone
• Rose Oil- for oily skin
• Chamomile Oil- for combination skin

Acne marks: Lavender oil is great to prevent acne scars; you can mix it into a non-perfumed lotion or cream. Make a homemade zit zapper at home using oils that will clear out acne and scars.

Aging skin: Frankincense rose as well as neroli is great for aging skin. Add them along with carrier oils to make your own DIY natural anti aging serum at home.

Stretch marks: Mandarin, neroli can be added in some wheatgerm oil and used on the stretch marks. Massage the oils along with coconut or olive oil into your stretch marks to improve elasticity of skin and lighten marks naturally.

Alte uleiuri care sunt bune in general:

Argan: Uleiul de argan este un usor hidatator care ajuta la inmuierea pielii fetei, parului si al corpului. Uleiul de argan este bogat in vitamina E si aceasta ajuta la deschiderea culorii cicatricilor acneice si a altor modificari de culoare.

Jojoba: Uleiul de jojoba este un ulei excelent si poate fi folosit pe tot timpul anului pentru a preveni pierderea umiditatii si a calma pielea iritata si rosie. Este bun in special pentru pielea matura si uscata.

Cocos: Uleiul de cocos a fost folosit de mult timp de multe femei si acestea jura de bunatatea acestui ulei. Este creditat in special pentru proprietatile hidratante si ajuta la tratarea arsurilor pielii,provocate de soare. Este un ulei excelent pentru par de asemenea pentru ca ajuta la cresterea si hranirea parului.

Other oils that are good in general:

Argan: Argan oil is a lightweight hydrator which will help to soften the face, hair and body too. Argan oil is rich in vitamin E and that helps in lightening acne scars and other discoloration.

Jojoba : Jojoba oil is excellent oil and can be used all through the year to prevent loss of moisture and to soothe irritated and red skin. It is especially good for mature and dry skin types.

Coconut : Coconut oil has since long been used by a lot of women and they swear by the goodness of coconut oil. It is mainly credited for its moisturizing properties and it helps in healing sun burnt skin. It is an excellent oil for hair too as it helps in the hair growth and nourishing the hair.
